It is very important to choose a colour palette as you start with your planning. Visually it brings everything together and sets the tone for your big day. Flowers

Nothing says love like a bright yellow sunflower!  It’s very important to choose flowers that are in season and available locally.  As it is sometimes difficult to find a big variety of flowers in the Northern Cape, you can include greenery or some succulents – both still a big trend in the coming season.

Décor

All these beautiful Delft plates and terracotta pots are antiques from a great grandmother. Get creative and add personal décor items (pots, candle sticks, plates, or even cutlery) of different shapes, sizes and colours for extra detail. It conveys the idea of a family feast shared with all the loved ones in your life.

Stationary

Less is more. Start with a neutral colour and add some ‘spots’ from your wedding palette. For detail you can use texturized paper (keep in mind that designed paper can get quite expensive and won’t be the budgetwise way to go) or you can do the guests’ names in personalised handwriting with a bright coloured pen.

Dress

Dress your bridesmaids and flower girls in some florals for a feminine yet bold and beautiful look. This is a new trend for the 2017-2018 wedding season. Or wear a pair of colourful “vellies” under your dress while taking photos.
