!Naba Food and Wine Festival Exhibition 2018

The last weekend in August, ncweddings was once again honoured to take part in a local dream come to life.

Every year the town of Upington holds the !Naba Food and Wine Festival and visitors from all over the Northern Cape come to enjoy multi-layered culinary delights, local and national wines, and live entertainment to showcase the Green Kalahari as one of the world’s premier food and wine destinations.

We love to grow the ncweddings concept by taking hands and forming part of such events, thereby providing valuable marketing opportunities to our suppliers and vendors.

This year, our exhibition was composed of two aspects. Firstly, a collage of marketing materials from vendors and suppliers who chose to form part of the day. This year the  festival ran over the duration of two days. We thus had the opportunity to explain the advertising concept to several curious visitors and hand out multiple pamphlets and business cards. Visitors were excited to hear and thankful for not only wedding planning advice, but also event, birthday or occasion planning advice and service provider information. With the help of our loyal vendors and suppliers, always ready to take hands, ncweddings works hard and strives to provide a professional display trusting in the return of valuable marketing results for all involved. We appreciate your team effort.

For the second aspect of this year’s stall, ncweddings thought it well to merge the food and wedding themes by means of a colourful macaron bar. The variety of delicious macaron flavours were a great hit and our hearts are so grateful for each sale made. Many brides and locals are sending in enquiries wanting to order more macarons, therefore ncweddings is exploring the possibility of making them available for order on our website. We’ll keep you informed should we decide to venture out in this direction 😉

Another part of the annual !Naba Food and Wine Festival is ncweddings’ involvement in the announment of the Gemsbok Bride of The Year winner. ncweddings teams up with our local newspaper – The Gemsbok – to make the day even more special for our vendors, suppliers, and one lucky bride. Congratulations to this year’s winner – Monique Jansen van Vuuren. She walks aways with a R10 000 cash prize from Gemsbok.

On the day of announcement she was pampered by the following ncweddings vendors: her dress perfectly custom fitted by Ann Lee Couture, manicure and pedicure by Hadassah Lazer Clinic, hair done by Yafah Beautiful Ashes, makeup done by Kalahari Pampering Spa, and a teeth whitening pamper from Dr Jeannette Booysen Dentistry. The runner ups, Monique Mocke and Sanja Human, received overnight accommodation for two, breakfast included, sponsored by ncweddings vendors African Vineyard and Villa Borgesi. A sincere thank you to each vendor who formed part of this initiative.
