Fury friends at your wedding

For centuries, bridal couples have had their vows witnessed by their nearest and dearest, and now more pets than ever are appearing on the guest list.

It can be an extremely special jester and make for the cutest photos ever but we are here to help your planning by reminding you of a few practical things to consider:

It’s worth repeating that if your dog isn’t super comfortable around crowds or kids, it might be best to rethink bringing him to the wedding. Also take into account your pets personality. A older lazy dog lounging around all day might be the perfect guest compared to a young energetic pup. The first thing to do is to find your four-legged friend an assistant for the day. Having someone familiar on hand who can keep your pet company during their duties and take them home when they need to leave, helps your stress levels and practical flow of your program for the day. Also include a collar, leash, food, water and wastebags… if you got to go, you got to go ☺ Make sure to check with the venue and ask whether they are pet friendly in advance.

Make sure to notify your photographer and videographer when and how your pets are involved. It helps them to ensure they capture the treasured moment and to think of some clever ideas in advance of how to involve the pets in poses. Give your guests a heads up in being conscious about what your pet eats and the amount of treats it takes in on the day. Little people know but cats and dogs are highly allergic to lilies and baby’s breath flowers, something to take into consideration with floral arrangements. Pets are part of the family. With your bestie attending, and the nessecary planning – you can ensure that your wedding is “paw-fect”!
