Let’s Elope in the Northern Cape!

Ncweddings joined hands with a group of ncweddings vendors to create the beautifully styled shoot featured in this blog. Orange River Cellars provided the charmingly rustic backdrop of concrete and wine barrels, and Marli Visser from Liefkraal was the stylist. She combined spectacular earth-toned décor pieces from Tent Rent with handpicked dried grass and local flowers to create the beautiful setting for a bride and groom’s elopement.

The bride (Yanke Pieterse) owes her stunningly healthy blond hair to an INOAR perfect blond treatment, which infused her hair with minerals, vitamins, and moisture. On the day of the styled shoot, we gathered at the modern Villa Borgesi Guest House and prepared in their lovely honeymoon suite. The luxurious suites are inviting and equipped with all the necessary amenities you may require. Furniture and décor have been carefully curated to enrich the pre-wedding preparations of the bridal party, as well as the first evening of the bride and groom.

Ansori Badenhorst of Yafah Beautiful Ashes styled the bride’s hair and makeup. She describes her approach: “When it comes to the hair and makeup for a bride, the style and feel of the wedding plays a large role. In the case of an elopement, it is a very intimate set up, but, it is still extremely special. For her hair, we chose a simple style that is natural looking. The style creates an effect of freedom and spontaneity. For her makeup, we used a slightly darker colour palette on the eyes for that mysterious allure, and used natural colours on her lips for a light, elegant effect.”

Maritz Fashion dressed our bride in this special fit and flare dress, with its stunning combination of romance and glamour. It has unique three-dimensional flowers and hand-sewn beads that sparkle all the way down the sweeping train. The champagne blush colour of the gown is a modern take on the traditional bridal gown. A sexy low-cut back and a whimsical touch of feathers finish the gown. This is definitely a one-of-a-kind wedding dress! Our bride is wearing shimmery rose-gold platform heels which harmonize perfectly with the sparkles on her gown and in her eyes. Platform shoes are always a great choice for the bride, since they provide more support and make it easy to keeping dancing all night long. Gerhard Jacobs, our male model, looked handsome in his dashing suit, completing the picture with unpretentious masculine style.

Takes the Cake created the fabulous vanilla pod and salted caramel cake and decorated it in natural colours to fit the theme. Laurens superb skills can always be trusted to bring spectacular designs and flavours to the plate! Lizca’s Designs created the modern and fresh stationery that fitted the theme perfectly.
